The exhibition brings together 15 acrylic on canvas paintings, in which the artist makes representations referring to the feminine universe and also bring something spiritual, transcendent, addressing religious themes. His work has influences of Serigraphy, with flat and elaborated colours and graphic accuracy, but is primarily an intimate, playful and very girly painting.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Viváine Rebouças moved to the Minas Gerais State, Brazil, still a child. She studied Fine Arts at Guignard School (Minas Gerais State University) and graduated in 1992, with specialization in Serigraphy. The Serigraphy strongly influenced Viváine Rebouças’ paintings, determining the importance of the contour. Although, she considers the most important part of her work the process of creating hues through the mixture of acrylic inks, in a way that can build the feeling of a scene, a suspended feeling, through unique colours and unique contrasts. She participates in several group and solo exhibitions and in 2011 she took part in the catalogue “100 Artists celebrating Contagem Centenary”.
