A memory, a search, an idea: Akronos.
Akronos is our joint artist's signature. We are Angela Longares and Anita Mollo.
We have been carrying out an artistic experiment in Florence since 1982, working with four hands, without holding to separate identities.
We have produced a variety of art form, ranging from installations, polychrome sculptures, scriptural paintings and art books.

The sculptures, part of our own collection, are in polychrome terracotta, handmade.
On the surface, the overlapping of heterogeneous elements, fixed by the flame, determines the color, covering a constructive-ancestral process, which is the most ancient way of making ceramics.
Of the ceramic, eliminated the link with the use, we exalt the fragility and together the resistance, the endurance over time and above all its qualifying value of perennial transversality, as transversal is our feminine culture.

With a blocking, material and chromatic yell we try to recover a stratification through which it is possible to read mental and real times and spaces, and to emphasize the fantastic moment.
The suggestion of the primary recovers the myth of ancient Mediterranean civilizations and is what remains as a trace in the signs and symbols of our sculptures.
Our works represent a universe built and deliberately suspended between the archaic dream and the memory of the future.

Una memoria, una ricerca, un'idea: Akronos.
Akronos è la nostra firma d'arte. Siamo Angela Longares e Anita Mollo.
Portiamo avanti dal 1982, a Firenze, un esperimento artistico, lavorando a quattro mani.

Le sculture, parte della nostra collezione, sono in terracotta policroma, lavorata a mano.
In superficie, la sovrapposizione di elementi eterogenei, fissati dalla fiamma, determina il colore, che copre un processo costruttivo-ancestrale, che è il modo più antico di fare ceramica.
Della ceramica, eliminato il nesso con l'uso, esaltiamo la fragilità ed insieme la resistenza, il perdurare nel tempo e soprattutto il suo dato qualificante di perenne trasversalità, come trasversale è la nostra cultura al femminile.

Con un urlo bloccante, materico e cromatico tentiamo di recuperare una stratificazione attraverso cui è possibile leggere tempi e spazi mentali o reali, e sottolineare il momento fantastico.
La suggestione del primario recupera il mito di antiche civiltà del Mediterraneo ed è ciò che rimane come traccia nei segni e simboli delle nostre sculture.
Le nostre opere rappresentano un universo costruito e volutamente sospeso tra sogno arcaico e memoria del futuro.
