Art Takes Miami 2011
n general, contemporary art raises questions without giving answers, is a cross-language forms and signs and Nadzan puts us with their backs to the wall facing a planetary emergency: the need to protect nature from the evil of man, showing assemblages of different materials against the destruction of the planet, already in place, evoking a disturbing future in which water is more precious than gold
Nadzan writes: "In the materials used in the work are clear choices, related to affinity with the same occurred during the years of artistic training. In recent works, in addition to iron and other elements I introduced other materials, particularly the wax that is already used in art foundry where I worked for six years. The wax fascinates me for its organic, transparent, protective capacity, for its fragrance, the essence of Zen. Neon seduces me for the ascetical dimension, dreamlike light is the concept of life energy fluorescent colors icons ever. The bitumen / tar is a petroleum derivative, and I chose it because it is the ultimate industrial material, energy source we depend on and immortal because of war and environmental pollution. I chose it for its black color that evokes nothing. The monochrome black invites meditation on time and space, with the reflections and practical martial art kung fu. My black oil is the beginning and the end of plastic forms in evolution, it evokes the cosmos and to meditate on the state of not being there "
Nadzan after the early minimalist, it is open to experimentation with "poor" materials and offers a sustainable recycling these forms, transforming discarded objects, relics of the post-technological works in the office of a primary energy that ennoble the alchemical process of scrapping . Some sculptures are characterized by a flow of natural wax that seems to protect them not by nature but by man, iconify and at the same time, out of context from reality.
Marshall McLuhan wrote: "I have great faith in the resilience and adaptability in the faculty of man ... I hope to see our planet transformed into a work of art on the new, integrated ... will become a cosmic harmony 'organic art form .. "
