Bodies Transformed
Mostre, Regno Unito, London, 22 April 2010
The 8 artists involved in this exhibition engage with its theme from a variety of starting points, peculiar to their individual practices. At the outside of the concept is the body of work in process of transformation, or the sense of the alchemical invoked in extending the inner logic of the medium to illuminate internal narratives.

The show brings painting, print, installation, sculpture, drawing, photography and dance together within the labyrinthine architecture of the Crypt. Its subterranean space sets off the transformation of the material body and immaterial aspects of each work. Its scope is at turns both mythic and playful.

The exhibition is open daily from 11am to 7pm, admission is free.

A private view will take place on Thursday 22 April from 6 to 9pm with a performance of contemporary Indian dance and narration by Divya Umakanth and Hazel Bradley at 7.45pm.
