Biografia
Andrés Duprat is an art curator, architect and film writer. Since December 2015 he's Director of Argentina Fine Arts Museum in Buenos Aires. Between 2005 and 2015 he was Head of Visual Arts Direction at Argentine Ministry of Culture. Between 2002 and 2004 he was Director at Contemporary Art Center Espacio of Telefonica Foundation in Buenos Aires. In the period 1991-2002 Andrés was Director at Fine Arts Museum of Bahía Blanca and, since it was created, also at Contemporary Art Museum at the same city. As art curator he made more than hundred exhibitions at museums and art centers in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Peru, Mexico, Cuba, United States, France, Russia, Japan, etc. As writer he create the scripts of the films “The artist”, “The man next door”, “Darling, I'm going to get cigarettes, and I'll be right back”, “Living Stars”, “All about Asado” and “The distinguished citizen” directed by Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat, and “Civilization” a documentary about the artist León Ferrari. In 2017 Andrés is juror for 'In Conflict', Visible White Photo Prize. Andrés lives in Buenos Aires.
