Biografia
Oksana Levchenya-Konstantinovska was born in 1975 in Bershad, Ukraine. She graduated A.A.Bogomolets Kiev Medical University in 2001. Oksana was alwaus interested in art and soon after her graduation she started studying painting with Alexandra Prahova. Though working mostly with paintings and installation art, Oksana's projects are often research-based. In her practice Oksana works with the notions of human body evolution, technological effects on biological organisms, ecology. From 2009 till today Oksana had participated in many exhibitions in Ukraine and worldwide. Her solo exhibitions include: Screenshot, Mystetskyi Arsenal (Kyiv, Ukraine); Warlike feminism, FineArt Gallery (Kiev, Ukraine). Oksana participated in such group exhibitions: Art Southampton (NY, USA); Arsenale 2012 - First Kyiv Biennial of Contemporary Art, (Kiev, Ukraine); Ukrainian paradox, ArtByGeneva Fair (Geneva, Switzerland). Currently Oksana is working on the project Soul Searching - a series of large-scale paintings and sculptures depicting human cells and microorganisms. Oksana Levchenya-Konstantinovska lives and works in Kiev, Ukraine.
