The artist’s characteristic fascination with optical phenomena continues in his new “Color Space” series. Multiple focal points are punctuated by individual works, which together constitute the contents of a narrative whole. The spectators orientation and direction alters the perception of depth and tone, keeping them in constant flux. The works thus yield a new way of viewing living entities born of light.
The intense colors are contained in a meditative space to grant spectators an illusory perspective, which actually generates the inner radiance of the materials and colors. It could be said that the artist harnessed the materials’ and colors’ wavelengths into a mosaic and sculpted them into light reliefs. The works’ spatiality emerges from the radiance of imprisoned light. This starting point has served as the thematic inspiration for all of the artist’s color-based works.
