Biografia
Genny Petrotta is a filmaker born in 1990. She grew up in an Italian-Albanish community in Sicily. She is graduated in from Audiovisual and Theatre Arts of the University of Palermo with a final essay entitled Ecstatic truth, reality and fact in Werner Herzog films. With the film Interno Giorno directed by Roberto Rossellini, 2011 she starts working for the big screen. She continues her way as a videographer for the cinema, theater and performing arts (including Belluscone of Franco Maresco and Jean-luc Nancy
on dance both, screened at Biennale d’arte di Venezia, both made in 2014).
She directed two music videos for the composer Go-Dratta
(It's getting too late - 2013; A Foley Friend - 2014) and together with Emilio Orofino directed his first feature film LUX (2016) published by the indipendent production company Il Pavone.
