“On contrary, we are ‘assembled’ selves, in which all the ‘private’ effects of psychological interiority are constituted by our linkage into ‘public languages, practices, techniques and artefacts”

(Rose 1996:250)

A cross disciplinary artist, my practice explores the boundaries between body and the world, Interior and exterior spaces and the place where the physical and psychological meet. It’s the connections between internal spaces and the outside, the spaces between things that can be seen as places of uncertainty.

I employ materials for their symbolism and relationship to the body and my current practice has focused on tableware and eating implements, subverting them by playing with notions of carnal union, bodies feeding bodies and the sexual politics of cutlery.

I exhibit my work both nationally and internationally and am a visiting lecturer at Birmingham City University.
