Biografia
Photographer based in Mexico City.
I am interested in how photography as a practice, discourse an medium inserts itself and reacts to, current
discourses and practices around the creation, production and consumption of images in our culture.
Currently I am working on the transitions of Photography between the ever more dominant strategies and
methods of the digital –massive, almost universal capabilities for production, and instant distribution of visual content– and the “traditional” and systematized methods and forms of photography as an officialized practice within the current contemporary art world –large format, typological, serial based works, appropiation–. I consider it is in these transitions and changes of interval where I can continue to reflect and explore the many different natures of the “photographic· in a world where every single one of us shoots, edits, shows and shares photographs.
