autonomous, metaphysical places. Her abstract world of images creates a parallel world with sensitive colouring of psychogenic landscapes.
Christa Layr is a thinking painteress. She searches for the spirit in art, the light-footed, always ready to fly.

Born in Vienna, physiotherapy-education in Salzburg and Vienna – all her life Christa has been searching to find an expression for the marks of her life, like in the saying: „A picture can convey what words can’t.“
Besides numerous international Art-Trips she started her painting education 2005 with known artists (Akademie Geras; Kunstfabrik Wien) and shows her pictures frequently in exhibitions in Paris, Cannes, Florence, Dubai, Houston, Milan, Rome, Barcelona and Austria.
Nietzsche wrote: „One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star.“ – Christa wants to make the viewer of her pictures feel that dancing star, to awaken feelings in the form of a memory, a longing for harmony and protection.
„I limit myself to the essential but never take away the poetry.“
