Biografia

Cristina Savage is a photographer and performer whose first exposure to the arts began at the age of six when she initiated her theatrical training at a private theatre academy for children in Kowloon, Hong Kong (her place of residency for the first fourteen years of her life). Her most recent studies include workshops for scriptwriting in street theatre and training in the Theatre of the Oppressed in Malaga, Spain. She received her fine arts degree from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, in 2003, where she specialized in sculpture and installation.
She has formed part of a street theatre collective, Ventila2, in Malaga, Spain for the past two years on a completely voluntary basis. The collective serves as platform for political and social protest, by occupying public squares and social networks with their theatrical performances. Ventila2 was awarded with XIII Premio Andaluz de Voluntariado en la categoría de innovación (XIII Andalusia Volunteerism Award in the Category of Innovation) in 2013.
She has also performed in the Centre Pompidou in Malaga, in Catherine Bay's "Blancheneige" in Septembre of 2015. Most recently she has joined the art collective Villa Puchero Factory, and performed at the Contemporary Art Center in Malaga with an Urban Intervention, titled "Saudade".
