Biografia
Stelios Kallinikou was born in Limassol, Cyprus, 1985. He studied History and Archaeology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, 2008, and then received a scholarship from IIEK ESP where he studied photography. He lives and works in Nicosia, Cyprus. Since 2009 he has presented his work in solo and group exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad. He was selected for the young Greek Photographers exhibition in 2010 and in 2013 at Athens photo festival. In 2014 he exhibited his project “Mary’s boy and flowers in the yard” in a solo show in the main schedule of the international photography festival Encontros da Imagem in Braga, Portugal. He was among the 20 finalists of the International portfolio reviews Emergentes. He was also nominated for the Fotomuseum Winterhur Pla(t)form in 2014.
