Biografia
I am interested in people.
Maybe because having been born in a small island I grew up with the feeling of being watched all the time , maybe because in a small town everyone is a “celebrity” of some sort, but in my case my father actually was one, maybe because most people have nothing better to do than to wonder about other’s lives. Maybe the grass always seems greener on the other side.
People are ever present and ever the subject.
Paradoxically being an only child , the duality between the need of isolation and solitude and the need for social interaction is an ongoing quest .
At the same time , right now , all of this is true and easily applied to a greater plane.

Everyone is watched everyone is, even if inadvertently a peeping Tom.
We are at the same time more connected than ever and more isolated than ever in our own little islands.
I try to portray my zeitgueist , often veiled by my personal experiences and my feminine point of view. But deliberatly leaving enough room to be filled with other’s stories .
I draw inspiration from the old masters as well as from popular culture. I believe they were the first pop artists trying to register the spirit of their time. In fact ...What are renaissance frescoes if not street art?
