Biografia
Dünny Potter was born in Medellín, Colombia, where the warm tropical climate imbued him with a visual affinity for bright colors, light, and shadow that he uses as part of his artistic language. Since childhood, he has exercised his artistic interests encouraged by his parents, whose greatest show of support was in giving Dünny and his sister access to an entire wall in their home where they painted their collaborative mural: “Tempera Salad.” Although mostly self-taught, his training includes four years of fine art in high school and recent work with his oil painting teacher and mentor Irina Kirienko Milton. His work has been selected for the annual Edmonds Art Festival since 2008. Today, Dünny works in oil as his medium of choice and continues to explore one of his favorite subjects: the human figure.
