Biografia
Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada and originally trained in theatre design, Wihak is based in Toronto as an multi-disciplinary artist working in film, television, theatre and visual art.
As a designer, Marian has been the recipient of numerous nominations and awards for her theatre and film work and as a visual artist she has been supported by the Canada Council and Ontario Arts Council, was a Finalist in the prestigious RBC Painting Competition (2001) and recently completed her MFA in Interdisciplinary Art, Media and Design at OCADU. Her work is part of public and private collections across Canada and the US.
Ms. Wihak's current personal praxis integrates her long-standing design and art practices to develop new possibilities in immersive and embodied,experiential environments. This serves her overarching interest in the overlapping perceptive and phenomenological aspects of chaos, the sublime and duration.
