Biografia
As an artist with a background in psychology, I am interested in perception and how we conceptualize visual information. In my exploration, I often combine photography with painting and elements of drawing to find a space. I build up areas, deconstruct them and shape them once again to define the edge and density of a subject. In my manipulations of a photograph, I bring out areas of flatness by blending pattern or designs into the background and subject. I hope to activate a discernible distance between the depth within photograph, and uniformity created by these patterns. My experiments with space though are deeply connected to people. In the process of finding and losing a space, I investigate perception, and how we come to understand reality and our individuality.
