Biografia

Ana Toledo González was born in México City. She performed and worked as interior designer. In 2001 she held the Bachelor Degree on Arts at the Universidad Veracruzana. In 2000 she received a scholarship for her studies at the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL). At the conclusion of her studies in the United States, she was invited by Dr. Sandria Hu and Dr. Nike De Vries to participate in an exchange student program at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bratislavia, Slovakia. In 2002 she obtained a grant from the National Council of Culture and Arts of Mexico (FONCA) to carry out an artistic project. A year later, she got an Artistic Residency at the Grave Gallery in Quebec, Canada. In 2004 she worked as assistant of Dr. Sandria Hu in the Print Project at the Universidad Veracruzana and in return of this work she was invited to perform a residency at UHCL. After all this experience, Ana was awarded with the first prize at the Joaquin Clausell Biennial in 2005.
Ana Toledo lives in The Netherlands since 2006. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in México, USA, Canada, Slovakia, Serbia, Spain, Belgium, Germany, France and in The Netherlands.
She has published several articles from 2000 to 2011 in collaboration with different Mexican artist.
