Biografia
Antonella Ferrari was born in Verona, Italy and relocated to London in 1994 where she currently lives and works. She studied Fine Art at Central St Martins College of Art and Design where she achieved a BA in 2003 and MA in 2010.
Antonella works across video, photography and installation to explore ideas about the human condition, revealing the drama and poetry of everyday existence.
Investigating notions of alienation, intimacy and urban isolation, Antonella’s works often hide an attempt to establish a connection with the other – whether a family member, a stranger in a public space or someone never met before.
Antonella is interested in evoking situations, exploring the in between and suggest possibilities, inviting the viewer to reflect on and participate to the meaning of the work.
