Biografia
The main focus, or more befittingly, unfocused medium for Broocke Ross is digital photography. Through the means of obscurity of light and shadow, she captures colour as it materialises. Compositionally speaking, and metaphorically, the light cannot exist without the dark, and only from acknowledging both does colour break through.
It is through this obscurity that she achieves images that deal with a sense of emergence and submergence of consciousness, denoting feelings of the Numinous intended to bring about a sense of awareness, silence, allowing the viewer to recognise, and be enveloped by the present moment.
