Biografia
There is a certain temptation to simplify the message that is encoded in any socio-political art. It seems as if the visceral reaction of an artist on a certain socio-political reality, be it the artist's original reaction or the one projected by the viewer, has the power to overwrite the more delicate complexity of that reality, obscuring its ambiguous, multi-layered, polysemous nature.
My art originates from the desire to make the texture of that ambiguity and complexity tangible through reflection on human morality, mechanisms of human compassion, genesis and arbitrariness of power, and the possible catalysts of change within the power structures – all of which are underlying different socio-political critical concepts.
