Since moving to Toronto from England, in 2000, it has remained my home. I have partook in the city’s diverse art culture by exhibiting in the Patio Art Show, 2013, the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, 2013, the Ontario Science Center, 2011, Imminent Art 2013, Project Gallery's 'Cut and Paste' 2013, and 'Artfest' Distillery District 2013. This year I displayed artwork in OCADU’s Graduate Exhibition, Look Inside, and Annual Figure Show as well as Bloke and 4th’s third instillation of, 4th Wall. I have fulfilled various painting commissions from Dec 2007 to present. Notably, two commissions from the Granite Golf Club as well as a painting for Jack Lenz Entertainment for Mona’s Story, a movie in production. In 2009 I received the, Doris McCarthy Scholarship, at OCADU. My main interest is in figurative painting, exploring human nature, and celebrating personalities through moments of introspection or pause. There are no barriers when the imaginative process speaks to the inner self of others. I choose over saturated colour and heightened mark-making to reflect the mood or the turbulence that lies behind the surface, in the thoughts of the figure.
