Biografia
Hanbun.co is a performance unit formed in 2010 by Chieko Yamauchi (visual artist) and Miyuki Tokui (choreographer). Both Yamauchi and Tokui work and live in Japan.
We creates it’s own works as the motif with nursery rhyme. Because nursery rhyme has a background in Japanese culture and specially in childhood. We want top refresh the point of view of our time and to understand once again what old people tried to achieve by singing the rhymes to us. At the same time we are looking for understanding how a nursery rhyme is effecting us now.
We express what we feel at that moment by a nursery rhyme and support that feeling with animation, scenic art, music and dance. Hanbun.co donates part of the gained profit to organizations which support the bright future of children in Japan.
