Biografia
O.P.Parameswaran has been seriously engaged in creative production of art works in Oil and Acrylic colours since his college days. With the first Solo Exhibition sponsored by the Kerala Lalit Kala Academy in 1991 to his credit, he has also been awarded with the Highly Commended Certificate of the Kerala Lalit Kala Academy in 1991. Since then he has been participating in many Group Art Exhibitions.
The figurative paintings of Parameswaran, evoke his deep affinity and concern towards life, people and society. His oil on canvases attempt to involve an analysis of various changes, issues, contradictions prevailing in the fast changing society. Apart from showing the major shifts taking place in the society, his visual expressions also raise questions to the present methods of practice being used to achieve progress. His compositions provide various contemporary relevant issues like displacement, issue of environmental concern, city life and the changing role of women in the contemporary life.
