Recycled and industrial materials are transformed through craft based processes to elicit subjectivity. Drawing on the visual language of minimalism, Phillips' installation and object based practice explores the realms of materiality, psychic affect and architectural metaphor to encourage a feminist interpretation of embodiment and psychological experience.
