Biografia

My inspiration comes from my amazing family and friends, my love for the "calaveras", and my Mexican Heritage. I love the utilization of bright colors, because it describes my personality. I am fascinated by other cultures. I wanted to create my own alphabet that only I can read, making it a mystery to most. This stylized alphabet is visible in some of my work.

Each Calavera in my work represents a family member or a friend. There is also great symbolic meaning behind each of the Calaveras, including my own. The borders are in what I like to call my “stylized alphabet“. The borders are there to describe the atmosphere of the painting. I do not want people to associate death when viewing my work. I want people to feel happy because my paintings represent life.

Overall, My art is all about the people in my everyday life and being able to recreate my memories through my work. My paintings are also meant for the viewer to trigger a memory of their own.
