Biografia
My work takes the form of photographs and artist's films which at first glance appear to be disparate, in subject matter and approach. What I seek to explore is the essence of human experience such as family life and motherhood, feminine and masculine roles, and relationships between strangers. Right down at the individual level, small every day anxieties are exposed. I stage a situation and explore ways in which people present themselves, or allow a story to unfold within parameters I have set in advance to produce a slow burning psychologically tense effect.
