Artist Statement. Osy Milian.
Each new body of work introduces subjects that seem to differ radically from previous work .My painting is oriented towards the oneiric as consequence of the reality that I place in the panoramic space where the reality has been metamorphosed into a fantastic paranormal state. The characters display a strange immutability and peaceful persistence. There are amazing iconographic combinations between characters, animals and objects in a sort of hallucinatory stage set. There are also domestic animals such as the cat interconnected by a fantastic everyday quality in the scene originating in a hallucinatory genetic mutation as an icon representative of disintegration and chaos. The settings are a sort of theatrical ´´Huis Clos´´(closed doors or confined space)with windows opening onto the infinite.
