Biografia

Dionysis Kouris was born in Greece. His interest in photography started after having studied economics. He has a degree from the Arts University of Bournemouth and in 2010 obtained his masters at the London College of Communication. Kouris participated in various group shows: PM Gallery in Ealing, London, European Social Forum, Athens, Greece, New York Photo Festival 2011 among others. He won the First prize at the PDN Photo annual – video category and has been shortlisted in other contests.
He has published his works in many magazines and newspapers: Vogue, Elle, Madame Figaro, House & Garden, Vimagazino, Epsilon, ASMP Bulletin among others.
He has been working in long-term projects on immigration.
In his most recent project, “Transit in Columbia, Athens”, is trying to approach the huge and very complicated problem of immigration through the three elements that form this photo essay: music, immigration and cultural background of the immigrants.
He is based in London.
