Biografia
I have been a professional artist for over 35 years. I work across various mediums depending on the subject matter including: photography, printmaking, sculpture, mosaic, mixed materials, writing and poetry. I have also been in academics, am a published author and proprietress of Thunderhead Press. I exhibit my work internationally. Private collections include parties in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Ireland, Taiwan, the Cathedral Foundation and the Beijing Natural Cultural Center. I am a member of Professional Women Photographers in NYC.
In my artwork I focus on capturing the emotive and psychological moment. I am interested in using images and words to reconstruct memories, and in the creation of contemplative metaphors that reflect interior life and thought. In that regard, my artwork is documentary, whether a single piece, works in series or as installation. Most recently, I have begun to incorporate my own haiku poetry with my visual artworks in series.
