Biografia
I'm a NY based artist, born in Tehran, Iran in 1979. Raised in a family of architects and musicians, I was drawn to making art from an early age.
Born in a year of revolution, and growing up in one of the world’s most historically and socially complex regions in its wake, I’m fascinated by the mechanisms and interplay of different natural, social and political systems. My work explores: how these systems are composed how information, energy and material are codified within them and how bodies are impacted by and interact with them.
I received a BFA in sculpture at Tehran University in 2002, and a BFA in Performing Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2009.
