Biografia
My name is Hilary Zelson, and i am a recent graduate from Union College with a Bachelor of Arts degree for my major in Visual Art. Throughout the year I have been painting with mixed media, including watercolor and glitter. The focus of these paintings is in the balance of what I can control and what happens naturally. Painting with glitter stemmed from a question I faced: “Why does paint make a painting?” and I found the answer through my work. A painting is the combination of color, texture, and pattern that come together in an artist’s imagination, and make the viewer feel something that artist felt. I hope to show how different media are used to create exciting pieces that can never be created again.
