Biografia
Carmen was born in Positano, Italy, where she grew up with an Australian mother and a group of international artists who taught her to draw at an early age. After training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, she spent some years working as an actress in various theater companies, at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, in Martin Scorsese's Gangs of New York and opposite John Turturro in Secret Passage. In time, profound dream experiences triggered an exploration into depth psychology, myth and painting. She has exhibited work in Florence, Rome, Genova, Pescara, London, Vienna, New Mexico, Boston and Salem. Her Moon with Owls tarot image won the Premio Giorgione for alchemical art in Vicenza. She has devised her own techniques for painting from the dreaming and she has created the Pholarchos Tarot: an original 78 card deck with an international following. She is currently pursuing an MA at TUS: Art, Psyche and the Creative Imagination, which has an emphasis on alchemy and the process of individuation.
