Biografia

Meir Lobaton is an architect and artist, living and working in Paris. In 2002 he obtained an architectural degree from the School of Architecture of the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. In 2007 as a CONACYT Scholar, he graduated from Columbia University with Honors for Excellence in Design, and was a recipient of the Lucille Smyser Lowenfish Memorial Design Prize. Meir is engaged in a continious search for new paradigms and design strategies aimed towards to the dilution of existing boundaries between Art, Landscape and Architecture. He has taught architectural design studios at Columbia University and Universidad Iberoamericana. His work has been widely published and exhibited in important galleries and institutions including, PS1 in Queens and MoMA in New York. He is currently working on site specific for Art Basel Unlimited in Switzerland, and the Storefront for art and architecture in New York.
