Biografia

Chiara Zanella Ferro was born in Venice, Italy in 1981. She received her BA Fine Art Degree from
Academy of Fine Arts of Venice, Italy in 2005. After years of collaboration with the Italian artist Marco Thiella as Omoproject, she is now working on on the obsession that contemporary
society has for the perfect, unspoiled body; about the scare of the deseased body, the
efforts to follow a perfect shape and, somehow, immortality. Works are handmade
embroideries on huge and small plastic sheets/cover, like they were sutures, scars on
artificial surface.
Among recent exhibitions she has taken part in, there are projects curated by Chiara
Bertola - Querini Stampalia Foundation (Venice), Hangar Bicocca (Milan) -, Renzo Di
Renzo - FABRICA, Claudio Buziol Foundation (Venice) -, Henry Meyric Hughes –
AICA – Kunstraum Richard Sorge (Berlin). She has also realized artworks for clients like
Replay Fashion Box Industries.
She currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
