Biografia
Mapi works with video, photography for communication projects, independent productions , commercial and social.
She graduated in Communication Sciences and she have a master's degree in "Cinema promotional digital" at the University of Palermo.
She made short documentary "Voluntary Effects", a survey on volunteering at Palermo. The project promoted the Association "Per Esempio" was funded by the Youth in Action Programme.
She made the video "Assenza" within the artistic residence "forms" on documentary cinema sponsored by Gai (Giovani Artisti Italiani) and held in Messina.
She has exhibited at the " Padova photography festival" (progetto giovani, circuito Gai).
She had a prize (special mention) at PhotoEudi 2014 with "Dreaming Underwater".
She has exhibited at MIAfair (Milan Image Art Fair) with the photographic work " Colour My Home ."
She has attended numerous workshops on the projection and manipulation of images in real time, vJing,videomapping and the use of video within scenic .
With Alessandro Lo Cascio worked in 2012 at the video project " LiquidLand " with composer Mario Bajardi .
In 2011 she performed at ' LPM Live Performers Meeting , an international meeting dedicated to visual artists . She participated in the " Live Video Ensemble " , an audiovisual performance created by Claudio Sinatti .
She worked on "Blitz Live " a multimedia show of interaction between digital art and contemporary dance , curated by Domenico Sciajno .
She shooted a documentary on the life of Francesco Carbone , Sicilian intellectual and founder of the museum Godranopoli . She worked with Roberta Torre (director of Tano da morire and many more) as photographer and videomaker.
In 2013 Mapi realizes a short movie for the Kitesurf World Cup 2013 World Championships stage of kitesurfing in Marsala (Tp ) .
In 2012 Mapi made a documentary with Annamaria Craparotta and Alessandro Lo Cascio entitled
" Carta Bianca, storie di Gibellina nuova ."
Since 2008 collaborates with association no profit creating projects for audiovisual communication on social prevention creating documentaries and commercials.
