Biografia
Born in 1975, Simond holds a Certificate in Print making and a Diploma in Graphic Design from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and a Degree in Design from RMIT University.
He has participated in various group exhibitions both in Singapore and international, including at The Print Center(Philadelphia), International Print Center(New York), The 16th SPACE International Print Biennial at OCI Museum of Art(South Korea), 25th International Juried Show at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey(USA) and the 2nd Penang International Print Exhibition(Malaysia). Simond is also one of the participating artist at the Elephant Parade in 2011.
Simond's work is an exploration of the subconscious and it’s relationship to the human condition. It encompasses his personal experiences and emotions of that make up our everyday lives.
With the use of simple, graphical and everyday symbolic imagery, Simond creates surrealistic and dream-like depictions. These depictions are often the result of both rational and irrational thoughts conceived from unconscious mind.
