Biografia
On 16 December 1930 he was born as a German in Jokes in the Czech Republic. There he spent the first 15 years in a small town in Bohemia, and on the farm of his grandmother.
The war ended only after he moved east, then to West Germany. The school years were spent in Bad Mergentheim and Schwetzingen. Because of his studies at the Staatliche. Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe, he was influenced by Erich Heckel (artist group bridge).
Perhaps it is the uprooting from their homeland, which awakened in him the desire to keep things material to the inner distance and not to be sedentary. His personal goal is to maintain his creative freedom. Not to flee or to isolate themselves, but to continue his spiritual and artistic adventure.
Now he lives and works for over 40 years (Ardèche in southern France). The almost 80 year old artist has had over 40 years the exhibition period.
