Biografia

The starting point for my art is an idea that often comes from either a book, image or an idea that sticks with me: a rabbit with hands, a headless bird, a mushroom cloud, a fish & chip-shop sign, a poodle up on two legs.

The final works often take the form of installations using found objects, appropriated images and text-based works.

Recurrent themes include eating, the distinction between human and animal and the question of what is natural or normal.

My works often refer to domestic spaces and use discarded domestic objects - an old
chipped plate, a blanket or a lampshade – things which are unwanted, marked by use and abuse.
