My work has been exploring the notion of time, and its passing, through the usage of specific visualization regimes- from the photographic to the cinematographic- making use of the temporal specificity of each media in an attempt to explore the boundaries or the permeability between still and moving image. This permeability in the midst of still and moving images, at times, is worked out by means of photographic devices for cinematographic purposes or, at other times, through the controlling of the particular visual apparatus with the view to images production.
Another important issue addressed is perception (visual perception), whether through the misrepresentation of visual devices, which raises questions about the antagonism of perception and reason, or related, so to speak, to a bodily affection that relocates the viewer’s awareness for his/her own physicality
