Biografia
Art keeps me alive and kicking. I studied art and history (and English, economics, photography, Dutch). In my spare time I make paintings, bitumen monotypes (colour is added later), some sculptures en photo's. I love music; music is an integral part of my artmaking: I always play music that fits to my feelings while painting or sculpting: the combination creates better art for me.
I have a busy dayjob in education as head of an innovation department in a large school (ROC) for primary and secondary vocational education. I work on computergames and innovative educational methods.
In may 2009 in made a n inspiration trip to the United States, investigating and enjoying the blues in Mississippi and of course the soul of the Stax and Sun studios in Memphis. You will see the results of this trip on my website in the next months. The first project I will take up will be a reflection of my trip on my dining table and dining-chairs.
