In my work, I investigate the world or my perception of reality through the creation of fantastic, parallel dimensions which materialize in the form of a developing photographic aesthetic.The sky is a reoccurring motif in many of my pieces. It represents a kind of organic backdrop, a sample or simulation of a sweetened foundation for imagery. I superimpose images which have been extracted from their original context, mutating them, warping them, subverting meanings and conducting perceptual mischief. I believe in a kind of artistic integrity which involves the creation of photographs that resists the use of advanced technologies. By using low-tech means, I invent artificial territories which look flat, fantastic, ethereal and odd. With analogue tools I give the pieces a digital look which is almost photoshop - like.
