Biografia
Marisa Ferreira is from Portugal (born April 30, 1983), lives and works in Stavanger – Norway since 2008. She is graduated in Plastic Arts (Masters Degree, 2002-07) and in Art and Design for Public Space (Post-graduate Degree, 2007-08), both studies from Portugal.
In 2005, she got a Painting Honorable Mention; one year later, 2006, Marisa won two first prizes: the famous public art event “Cowparade” in Lisbon and an International Design competition organized by an interior design magazine.
Her first solo exhibition had place at Galleri F12, in Stavanger, Norway, between March-April 2009.
Last year she was selected to the 2009 Gaulan International Print Biennial, in China. Her resume also includes some biennials and group exhibitions.
Since the beginning of 2010, Marisa is represented by Galleri Sult, Stavanger (Norway). Marisa was recently in a group exhibition "Kontrutive tendenser" at Galleri LNM, Oslo-Norway, and was invited to participate in the 5th International Printmaking Biennial of Douro, Oporto-Portugal with opening on 10th August 2010.
