My empathy with the individual amidst our consumer society is the guiding force behind my work.
A psychological position of stress and hesitation grows from uncontrolled desires created by media alarm, advertising, unequal economic interaction and societal expectation. My feelings about our collective behaviour in the face of predicted environmental catastrophe and ecological destruction are strung with thoughts of blame and guilt.
Concerned about the effects our lifestyles have on our greater environment, I question our consciousness and responsibility. I am looking for ways of becoming more responsible, egoless and clear.
