Biografia
Karou Calamy is a 23 years old artist from Norway. He lives in Sweden and studies at Malmo Art Academy. He makes films, photos, mirror installations and mixed media artworks. His films are on the one hand touchingly beautiful, on the other hand painfully attractive. By merging several seemingly incompatible worlds into a new universe, Calamy uses a visual vocabulary that addresses many different social and political issues. His films bear strong political references with a lot of influence from his Iranian-Kurdish background. Karou has already exhibited in galleries in Norway, Sweden, Germany, Spain and Algeria.
