Biografia
Abstract Long Island New York artist, studied at Art Students League in NYC, Art League of LI and previously BOCES Gifted Art Program as teenager and with Alton Pickens at Vassar College. Six honors graduate art credits earned with MSU at London U. when an undergraduate, Have won awards for art. Also a published poet. Returned to art after 25 year hiatus in 2013. Full-time artist and member of BJ Spoke Gallery in Huntington, NY. Mother was an award winning humanist-expressionist. I become one with my creation, channeling into the zone where I am alone within a world apart from reality. I have been told I create whole worlds of my own and although skilled, I am an intuitive, organic painter, who feels and reads energy in shapes and color. I am known for putting colors that usually are not placed together and with my paintings it works. I love working with bright colors. Perhaps it is because I am happiest when I am in the flow of the creative process.
