Biography
I am a contemporary figurative artist interested in exploring the dynamics of human relationships though use of psychological narratives and related themes. In my work, I reference dreams, memory, landscape and found or family photographs combined with references to common concepts in popular culture, alchemy, religion, and depth psychology. My goal is to represent the complexities of interpersonal relationships and the psychodynamics of family systems, which I believe serve as the foundation of the individual and family psyche, generating the motivational forces, conscious and unconscious, that ultimately are determinates of human behavior.
I have been a professional studio for 30+ years. I am a professor of Art at California State University, Fresno.
