DARIO MOLINARO
born in Foggia in 1985, lives and works in Milan.
Degree in Decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Foggia with a degree in art criticism (2007).
Dario Molinaro usually part from images taken from the web, from television or from everyday life for work performed using a thick painting made of broad strokes and backgrounds that only partially meet the original composition. Indeed, the energy used by the artist to transform the starting image suggests rather the will to undo the form, beyond recognition. Dario Molinaro does not express a preference in the choice of media representations to his works. Intervenes forcefully on their surface as if to erase the figures, but inevitably ends up in this way to return to a new life.
To Dario Molinaro is an iconoclastic gesture, in the true sense of the will to negation and breaking of the given configuration, but if there is one lesson we can draw from the rhetoric of communication is that to abolish a message you must forget. Here, then, that the search for Molinaro identifies a line, not necessarily programmatic, often fragmentary and random, but useful to reappropriation of images, in an act of transfiguration by which the same images are re-entered in the visual circuit use.
