Biography
We are a collaborative art duo working under the guise of two subhuman species, acting as the architects/creators/directors who guide our viewers into powerfully visual narratives that reimagine our cultural landscapes through fragmented gestures, mythologies and representations. Alternating from improvised performances to scripted narratives our practice aims to blur the line between lived experience and virtual realities. Exploring in a vague, non-explicit manor how one locates the self within these realms.
The interchangeable perspectives and multiple roles our characters play lend an eye into other worlds and dystopian futures where there is no formal separation between time, both real and constructed. Tangibility of space seem all the more fragile as our characters bleed from virtual environments made in green screened studios or on Photoshop/after effects into real life landscapes. Committing to neither realm they embody both the factual and theatrical, the real and the fantasy, their human existence is constantly at question. Objects in and out of our films become the absurd attempt for them to become human.
Having graduated from Central Saint Martin’s college of Art this June we have been nominated for the Mullen Lowe Nova Award and have had exhibitions in both London and Berlin.
