Biography

Piotr Krysiak (b. 1982, Poland) holds a M.A. from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. He also studied at the Ecole Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Toulouse, France.

His diverse work incorporates primarily painting, but also installation, object or video. Krysiak's art examines issues mostly related to change, ambiguity, or temporariness.

The works of Piotr Krysiak have been displayed in solo and group exhibitions, including 'Chashama Gala' at 4 Times Square in New York City 2016; 'Piotr Krysiak - Painting' (solo) in Brick-5, Vienna in 2016; 'Salted Candy' in Nowa Gallery, Poznan in 2011; 'II Triennial of Contemporary Polish Painting' in BWA Rzeszow and BWA Zamosc in 2011; 'New things' (solo) in Museum in Bielsko-Biala in 2010; 'Under' in Cellar Gallery, Krakow in 2010; 'Piotr Krysiak - painting' (solo) in Schindler Factory, Krakow in 2005.
His works are in the collection of the Museum in Bielsko-Biala, Dave Bown Collection (USA), as well as in private collections.

Krysiak's latest paintings were featured in the 5th issue (2016) of the New York based Paint Pulse Magazine. They were also published (2016) by an award-winning iGNANT magazine featuring the finest in art, design, photography and architecture. The paintings were selected for the 10th Small Painting Forms Triennial in Wozownia Art Gallery in Toruń, Poland (2016).
